The United States CitizenshipThe country in which a person is born (and has not renounced or lost citizenship) or naturalized and to which that person owes allegiance and by which he or she is entitled to be protected. and Immigration Service (USCIS) updated its H-1B cap count on November 26, 2010. Here are the most recent cap numbers:
Regular H-1B Cap: 50,400
U.S. Masters H-1B Cap: 18,400
The regular H-1B cap is set at 65,000 and the Advanced Degree cap is set at 20,000.
This is the first time the regular H-1B cap count has surpassed 50,000. Also, the U.S. Master’s cap increased by 1000 H-1B numbers in just one week.
