Rashmi Shah

“I practice immigration law to make a meaningful and positive impact on my clients’ futures. As an immigrant myself, I realize the importance of having an accessible, dependable and dedicated attorney to provide guidance through what can be a daunting and emotional process. I feel honored that our clients choose us to be a part of their life journey.”

Rashmi Shah approaches each case by balancing compassion with technical expertise . Her priority is to clarify the intricate process of immigration law for her clients, and to provide them with honest, detailed, and carefully considered options.

Rashmi knew early on that immigration law would be her calling. She participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Policy Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Law, helping refugees and domestic violence victims live free from their abusers. Rashmi joined Bashyam Spiro because of the expertise of its team, and because of their unwavering commitment to their clients .

Because she believes that it is her personal duty to give back to the community, she volunteered with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice and continues to provide pro bono immigration support to low-income families through the Legal Aid of North Carolina Battered Immigrant Project.
